Good Books I’m Reading 📚
Source Code (Código Fuente). This is the biography of Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, who doesn’t need any further introduction. Well, I recommend it if you particularly like biographies; however, just be aware that the first half of the book tells mainly about his infancy, adventures, family and friends’ stories, etc., and only towards the end it briefly explains Microsoft’s beginnings, so you won’t find a story of the company’s growth. What is interesting is to understand the unique context of tech transformation in which Bill Gates grew up, how he dedicated endless hours to programming challenges, and how he started selling code when paid software wasn’t even a thing. By the way, if you also like smaller pocket editions, I found one at my favourite English library in Madrid: Pasajes.
What’s Stopping You, where Timothy Armoo, the founder of the marketing agency Fanbytes, talks about his biggest lessons in business accumulated over his career as an entrepreneur. An easy and pleasant book to read; I also recently made a LinkedIn post with my biggest takeaways, with inspiring points that I haven’t found in other personal development books yet.
