Good Books I’m Reading 📚
The Money Trap. Alok Sama, ex-Morgan Stanley banker, tells the story of how he became CFO of SoftBank (a massive Japanese conglomerate dominating Tech investments worldwide), diving into tech trends and bubbles, and telling inside stories about billion-dollar deals with multiple startups, including investments in companies like Uber and WeWork. It’s a full-immersion into Tech-related investment banking, narrated via the author’s unique and fun way of explaining things - for sure not your average read. Bonus point: despite Alok’s impressive career, he still finds the time to reply to LinkedIn connection requests:
